You could be a witch and not even know it - as spooky season approaches, here's how to find out

As we get closer to the fading light of day and the spirit of the spooky season that thins the vellum and pumpkin, we’re talking magical business.

Brilliant evolutionary astrologer Angie Hamilton of “You, Me, and the Stars” shares her insights on which birth chart placements predict witches’ dashes.

“There are only a few birth charts that when I look at them right away, I’m like, oh, they’re a peer.”

Hamilton points out that anyone with one or more of the following six placements is likely to have their fair share of hocus pocus—whether they know it or not.

Read on to learn more about this spooky six-pack and determine if you’re a star-born witch.

Born in the witching hour

Hamilton says the first indicator of witchcraft is birth at night, making your birth chart a nocturnal or nocturnal chart.

“When you are born at night, you have a natural connection to the night, to the moon, to those quiet hours.”

A famous witch with a night chart? Stevie ‘White Wing Dove’ Nicks.

Hamilton says those born in the dark prefer it: “You tend to be around when there aren’t many other people around you, like you like to move around in the shadows when it’s really quiet.”

Dominance of the northern hemisphere

Northern Hemisphere dominance is used to describe a birth chart where most planets sit in the lower half of the chart.

Using Nicks, who has North dominance in her chart, as an example, Hamilton explains, “That means she’s more introverted and more subjective and really identifies with other people through what she’s been through.”

Hamilton says those with a north dominance are more private, have stronger karmic ties and also have more family trauma and drama, early formative pains that contribute to their alignment.

Power players in your 4th, 8th or 12th houses

Hamilton says that having three or more planets (also known as stellium) in the 4th, 8th, or 12th house indicates unquestionable magic.

All three houses are known as ‘water houses’ as they are traditionally ruled by water signs: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, respectively.

The fourth house is associated with the house and root systems, karmic ties and ancestral traumas, the 8th house with sex, death, secrets and other people’s property, while the 12th house is the house of ghosts, hidden enemies , self-sabotage, spiritual, and psychic phenomena.

Basically, water houses ARE witches’ houses.

In nature, a cluster of planets in each of these houses suggests that these themes will play prominently and powerfully in the individual’s life.

North or South Node in Aquarius

The North Node relates to our soul’s purpose, while the South Node indicates past life experiences – if either node falls in the sign of the permanent outsider, chances are you are or have been a witch.

Hamilton explains, “Aquarius is the energy of being ostracized by society or being seen as different, weird, or strange, which is super magical because witches were the first rebels.”

Aspects of Uranus

Speaking of rebellion, Uranus is the instigating planet of rebellion, discord and dissent.

If Uranus makes a strong aspect to your sun, moon, or rising sign, it’s a clear indication that weirdos and wizards are strong in you.

Neptune or Pluto retrograde

Neptune is the planet of dreams, illusions and all that is not seen. Pluto is the planet of the death of the father of karmic punishment, sexuality and deep transformation.

Hamilton explains that people born when either planet was retrograde are gifted with heightened powers of intuition and perception, seeing and feeling what others cannot or will not.
