The Hidden Figures star attended Jonathan Simkhai’s Spring 2025 show in a pale salmon coat and baggy pants that matched her new orange hair.

“I changed my hair the night before the ‘Fight Night’ premiere,” the Golden Globe-winning actor told Alexa. “It was a steady transition. We started with the cut to a longer bob, then we went to a shorter bob, and then by the time I did Jimmy Fallon we cut it again, and by the premiere we had finalized the cut.

“Next time you see me, I’ll be completely bald,” she joked.

Henson likes the vivid accidental shade. “It’s kind of a coincidence. We were trying to go blonde and around 2am when my hair wouldn’t stand up it kept turning this color. I was thinking, ‘I think the universe wants me to be orange.’

Henson said her “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist” role as a shrewd businesswoman presented an interesting challenge. “I play a lot of characters who are the heart and the soul and the protector,” she said. “[Vivian Thomas] kept her heart away from her and acted like a man. That’s what I found intriguing about playing this character.

‘She was not a mother. She had no interest in having children or getting married,” she continued. “When it comes to women, they expect us to have children. There is a certain standard.

“Then they’re out there calling women who don’t have children ‘cat women,'” she said, referring to Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance’s criticism of high-profile Democrats. “It’s rude and it’s degrading and humiliating!”

Henson was sitting next to Olympic gymnast Suni Lee, who has attended a number of New York Fashion Week shows this week, and admitted she was a serious shopper. “I’m bad!” said the athlete, who has two gold medals, one silver and three bronze medals in the 2020 and 2024 Games.

There was much to covet at Simkhai, unveiled 1,100 feet above the ground at The Edge at Hudson Yards.

Nineties supermodel Amber Valletta opened the show in a beige coat, bandeau top and double layered skirt. These simple pieces set the tone for a sophisticated collection that juxtaposes textures and shapes.

The designer told Vogue that the line was inspired by a flower from his mother’s wedding dress.

A series of intricate evening dresses that looked like vines draped over the body were a highlight, along with long knitted dresses with fringes.

Dressed in black and white, Simkhai took a bow with his mother, Orna, resplendent in a black floral skirt and immaculate white shirt.

The family coordinates their elegance.
